Sankranti Celebrations- A Tribute to our Farmers – Flying kites and lighting the bonfire of harvest!
On January 11th, 2022, Fusion International School celebrated Sankranti as a tribute to our farmers and the bountiful seasonal harvest. The importance of remembering our land, farmers and the first harvest was reiterated through a speech shared by the Chairperson and Managing Director of the school, Ms. Sridevi Rao.
The festival which stands as an example of our Indian culture and tradition is celebrated every year by the students depicting the importance of the festival. The school was festively and beautifully decorated for Sankranti. Beautiful Rangoli patterns adorned the main entrance. The stage was set for traditional songs and dances!
The highlight of the event was when the traditional bull ‘Ganggireddu’ danced into the school ground to screams of excitement by the students!
In the midst of the grounds was where Pongal, the traditional sweet was cooked and served. Students were provided with kites and the skies were filled with colourful kites and sounds of joy!
