The Drop Everything and Read Program where reading becomes a relationship!
DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) was an enormous success. When the intercom bell chime sounded, both students and teachers had to stop what they were doing to read for fifteen minutes.
Seeing children of all ages completely absorbed in their novels and storybooks and unwilling to put them down was a joy!
